March 4, 2018—today marked another glorious day for the people of Genesareth Area as they joyfully participated in another significant gathering for the Lord—1st Genesareth Area Fellowship of 2018 in the ABCD Convention Center at the Tuna capital of the Philippines, the green city of General Santos. Brethren from the churches in Socsksargen Region (Cotabato City, Midsayap, Surallah, Tacurong, Koronadal, Polomolok, Tupi, Tampakan, and General Santos City) gathered in rejoicing and unity to celebrate God’s goodness on their first area fellowship of the year.

The event brought an atmosphere of joy and gratitude as the General Santos Praise & Worship team led the congregation in singing praises to the Lord during Sunday School conducted by Pastor Jun Partisala. Thereafter, the start of worship was presided by Pastor Lily Nueda, the Master of Ceremonies for the event. Tacurong, Koronadal, and General Santos locale churches offered heavenly voices that sang melodies of praises for the Lord.

During Offertory Message, Pastor Jun elevated the spirit of giving through lessons about the significance of continuously following the teachings of God, including the giving of tithes and offering, all of which are for the expense of the mission of evangelization.

With the theme “Love: Key to Perfection” taken from the book of Colossians 3:14, the Word of the Lord was whole-heartedly ministered by Pastor Dana Serrano. The congregation was moved by the Holy Spirit as Pastor Dana taught about the different kinds of love, and how the highest form of love, (Agape Love – love for God) can be an instrument to perfection. The message of God that is ever pure made the brethren reaffirm their love for God and express it by doing His will. Pastor Dana emphasized that one can only reach perfection inside the Church, and perfection does not go without trials and sufferings for the sake of the work of God at hand.

”We cannot enter perfection without refinement, it’s the process of perfection in the Church.” – Pastor Dana Serrano

A great number of visitors accepted Christ as their savior, out of more than 500 attendees of the occasion who witnessed God’s mighty living power. The people of God from South Central Mindanao have surely seen the greatness of God’s works as it is undeniably perceived by their gleeful faces as the event ended.
