Evangelist Leticia Santos Ferriol

A Teacher & Preacher by Heart and Profession

Evangelist Leticia Santos Ferriol

The Church was given the total gifts of the Holy Spirit for the edification of the saints as stated in Ephesians 4:11-12 (NIV): “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” These five-fold gifts of administration were all manifested inside the true Church of Christ in the End-Time, and our church leaders were blessed with multiple gifts of ministries alongside the ministries of preaching and teaching.

Evangelist Leticia S. Ferriol exemplifies this dual ministry of preaching and teaching by heart and profession. She is a luminous partner of the Apostle in fulfilling the end-time mission, shining like a bright light in the difficult times of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch)’s history. Born into a well-known family from Marikina on February 9, 1943, she finished her primary education at Marikina Elementary School in 1955 and graduated high school in 1959 at Roosevelt Memorial High School. Despite her family’s heavy load and low earnings, she pursued college at Philippine Normal College in 1963.

On July 18, 1964, she was happily married to Arsenio T. Ferriol. Together, they started a family with four sons, Dennis, Jonathan, Samuel, and Levi, and two daughters, Joy and Kate. Along with this, they established the mission of Jesus through mass evangelism. She started teaching at an Elementary School in Manila to support the mission. Her salary was dedicated to helping the mission, and successfully, the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 1973. In 1975, using her salary and with the help of her brother Owel Santos, the church was able to purchase the property at 1st Street, Paliparan, Sto. Niño. This marked the beautiful beginning of the first large building in Marikina City.

Our global evangelist is also the pioneer of the church’s education ministry. Her passion for teaching was proven by her commitment to the apostle’s vision to establish an institution where children could learn secular subjects, forming and imparting Christian values. During the church’s pioneering years, she taught at Parang Elementary School, Leodegario Elementary School, and Altura Elementary School to sustain the needs of the church and the Bible students. After finishing her Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision, she established the Maranatha Kindergarten in 1980 with 13 students, which has now grown and is known as the National Christian Life College – Maranatha Christian Academy School System with over 140 chapters nationwide. In 1997, Evangelist Let obtained her doctoral degree in Educational Management at the National Teachers College (NTC), making her the First to get a doctorate in the church.

She presides over the Education Committee as the Chairwoman and director of the NCLC-MCA school system. With her accomplishments as an educator, she was conferred by the Philippine Normal University to be one of the distinguished recipients of the 2024 Gawad Sulo for Eminent Alumni in the Educational Leadership

Category on April 30, 2024. Evangelist Let epitomizes an educator whose heart beats for her students. After over six decades, she is still in contact with her colleagues and pupils from Parang Elementary School and annually celebrates her birthday with them. Their testimonies verify her as a teacher who is always ready to cater to the welfare of her students, and her memory of teaching with them remains. Her zealousness in teaching is similarly evident in her role as one of the determined professors in the Bible School. Together with Apostle Arsenio and Archbishop Art, they founded the ministerial training arm of the church, the Maranatha Bible School International, where she now serves as the school directress. Addressing the requirement of having a diploma to send missionaries abroad, she took the initiative to apply for the MBSI as a Theology Course, and in February of 2024, the Commission on Higher Education recognized and approved it as a Bachelor’s Degree.

Her methodology as a teacher is outwardly effective, as testified by her students, who are grateful to have been taught by her. As a teacher, she knows her students well. She is a mother figure to every Bible student. When there is a blessing from other local churches here and abroad, she always shares it with the ministers and Bible students. She is outspoken with her apprentices, giving them techniques and strategies to develop their knowledge and skills.

Through her morning adlibs, she deepens the understanding of the students and the brethren of the Word of God. She teaches us how to read the verses properly, with expanded eye span, and even with the proper pronunciation and enunciation of words, particularly the fricatives and murmuring vowels. Moreover, she is a teacher who leads by example. She believes that the best teaching style is through imitation. As she follows the way the Apostle serves, the ministers and Bible students also follow the way she serves.

She pioneered God’s work in foreign lands in 1984 when she went to the United States for two months. Later on, Carson’s local church was built in 1992. After a year, she went to Taiwan with Evangelist Violy Concepcion. In 1999, she led the pioneering works in Europe with Evangelist Violy as they set foot in Helsinki, Finland. She also visited places like Japan, Israel, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Fiji Islands, helping the church grow until today. From 2000 to October 2024, she oversees the region of Southeast Asia, East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand (SEAANZ). (Note: Insert here the present — East Asia, India, Bangladesh, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Island, and some provinces in the Philippines: Batangas, Laguna and Romblon)

In 2010, she helped Presbyter Olivia Liamzon start the mission in Auckland, New Zealand. Her heart for the mission never ceases as she continues to build churches through the Evangelistic Crusade Team (ECT) program, which she initiated in 2016. In that same year, she was ordained as a church Presbyter.

At the height of the pandemic in 2020, she did not hesitate to go out and preach the Word during lockdown. Her care for the souls made an impact in the vicinity of Laguna, where she participated in the program Reaching Regions Beyond (RRB) and is now a local church and a landmark in Southville, Biñan, Laguna. She and her team also established a new RRB in Southville, Brgy. Pinugay, Baras, Rizal. After a year, it was successfully inaugurated by Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol. In May of 2022, she dedicated the newly acquired two-story property in Auckland, New Zealand, and in June, she led the inauguration of Porirua Locale, then RRB of Wellington Locale.

In 2023, she celebrated her 80th birthday, during which her First Meditational Book, “By Faith Series,” was launched. Also in February, Evangelist Let Ferriol joined the Goodman of the House in the inauguration of the newly-acquired AATF Miracle Building in Dubai. In April, New Zealand and Fiji churches were inaugurated as a new area under her supervision, called Ophir Area. Later, Nadi, Fiji, was also inaugurated as the second local church in the area. At her age, she continues to aspire to and achieve greater heights of service for God. She never stops, and her dedication and commitment never fade. Together with the now-proclaimed Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol and other church leaders, their lives serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for us to accomplish more extraordinary things in our missions until the day of the rapture. In her grief for the loss of her beloved husband on May 19, 2024, although it was a great battle to fight, her resilience and faith remain as she’s standing firm in front of the congregation, giving hope to one another in love, peace, unity, and service to God. She is indeed a teacher and a preacher by heart and profession.
