Students inspired to pursue ministry growth as Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol delivers powerful charge
Maranatha Bible School International (MBSI) Main Campus officially welcomed a new academic year with its first-ever Advancement Ceremony and Orientation on July 2025. Spearheaded by Chancellor Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol and supported by the MBSI faculty, the event marked a renewed commitment to spiritual growth and ministry preparation for students and interns.
Before the formal program, Apostle Jonathan personally met with the Minister’s Children who had committed themselves as AMP Interns and Bible Students. He recognized their dedication in continuing the legacy of their parents, acknowledging the sacrifices that come with the ministry. He encouraged them to grow spiritually and to strive to become even greater than those who came before them—echoing the powerful words of the Goodman of the House, Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol: “Daigin niyo kami!”
“This saying,” Apostle Jonathan shared, “has proven true in my own ministry. I challenge you to surpass what we’ve accomplished for the glory of God.”
The historic Advancement Ceremony provided students with the opportunity to reflect on their spiritual journey and celebrate their continued progress in their calling. Evangelist Let Ferriol introduced the newly appointed faculty and support staff who will help shape this new generation of ministers. The roster includes Bishop Samuel Ferriol, Pastor Rodrigo Surilla, Pastor Kirsten Ferriol, Pastor Raniel Mendoza, Atty. Benjamin Sico, and Brother Andrew Marasigan—all handpicked by Apostle Jonathan to serve as mentors and guides.
Bishop Samuel Ferriol, the newly appointed Main Campus Administrator, highlighted the essential role of the faculty in shaping the students’ character and ministerial life. Meanwhile, Assistant Administrator Pastor Rodrigo Surilla encouraged everyone to embrace the new season with renewed dedication, focus, and a readiness to seize every opportunity for growth.
Apostle Jonathan capped the event with a stirring message, urging students to remain steadfast in their calling, to resist compromise, and to persevere in the race of faith.
“Ministry is warfare. Kung ito ay isang pakikipaglaban, kailangan ikaw ay magwagi!” he declared, stirring a wave of conviction and purpose in the hearts of all who were present.
The day concluded with joyful fellowship among students and interns, fostering deeper unity and strengthening their shared commitment to the mission of proclaiming Christ and preparing for His return.
