CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — September 20, 2026 — The PMCC (4th Watch) U.S. and Hispanosphere District celebrated 37 years of God’s grace and faithfulness during its 37th District-wide Church Anniversary and Thanksgiving Day, held for the first time in Chicago, Illinois.

As peak fall foliage began painting the city in vibrant colors, brethren from across the United States and the Hispanosphere gathered both physically and virtually in one spirit to commemorate God’s goodness throughout the years. Led by Presbyter Marites Ferriol, U.S. and Hispanosphere District Coordinator, the district-wide celebration brought together churches and sub-districts despite the distance separating them.

Centered on thanksgiving, worship, and the call to faithful service, the anniversary celebration reflected on the Lord’s sustaining grace while inspiring the brethren to look ahead to the greater things He continues to prepare for His Church.

Hispanosphere District Anniversary Celebrates 37 Years of God’s Faithfulness

The U.S. and Hispanosphere District Church Anniversary began with a joyful pre-event led by Pastor Charles Co, who served as master of ceremonies. Pastor Neil Rubinol, Sub-District Coordinator, opened the gathering in prayer, committing the entire celebration into God’s hands and seeking His guidance and blessing.

The opening prayer was followed by a video presentation featuring the recently concluded Home Free Global Crusade New York. The presentation highlighted the mighty works of God and testified to His continuing provision, mercy, and faithfulness toward His people.

The different sub-districts then offered songs of praise unto the Lord. The Pacific Northwest churches opened the praise segment with a rendition of “Sufficient for Today.” This was followed by the churches from Florida and the Great Hispanosphere, who lifted their praises through “Been So Good,” presented in different languages.

The Southwest Sub-District also offered a song of praise, while the Central Valley, Southeast, and Bay Area churches shared their own musical offerings. Together, these presentations reflected the district’s diversity while demonstrating the unity of the brethren in worship and thanksgiving.

Testimonies of Faithful Giving

The celebration also featured testimonies highlighting God’s faithfulness through the ministry of giving.

Brother Randy and Sister Sheryl Feolonia of PMCC (4th Watch) Silverspring, Maryland, together with Elder Edmund and Elder Lea Gabor of PMCC (4th Watch) South Bay, shared how God has continued to use them in supporting the work of the ministry through faithful giving.

Their testimonies emphasized that giving is not merely an act of generosity but also an expression of gratitude and stewardship before God. Through their personal experiences, the brethren were encouraged to remain faithful and generous as they support the work entrusted to the Church.

United in One Celebration

The event proper officially commenced with the processional, marking the formal opening of the district-wide anniversary celebration.

Ministers and pastors representing the different sub-districts entered the venue, followed by the Partakers and Presbyter Marites Ferriol, U.S. and Hispanosphere District Coordinator. The processional reached its culmination with the entrance of Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, Chief Executive Minister, signifying the gathering of the district as one body in celebration of God’s faithfulness.

Following the processional, the South Bay Praise and Worship Team led the congregation in a powerful time of worship. The brethren were encouraged to set their hearts on God and reflect on His goodness, faithfulness, and sustaining grace throughout the years.

The worship segment also reflected the unique nature of the celebration as churches gathered both physically in Chicago and virtually from different locations across the district. Despite geographical distances, the brethren were united in giving glory and thanksgiving unto the Lord.

A heartfelt opening prayer was then led by Pastor Larry Nisperos, Sub-District Coordinator of Central Valley. The prayer formally entrusted the anniversary gathering to God, seeking His guidance and blessing throughout the celebration.

The Northeast churches followed with a song of praise, continuing the atmosphere of worship and thanksgiving.

Pastor Faye Barrios, Head Pastor of PMCC (4th Watch) Chicago, then delivered the welcome remarks. As the host church for the district-wide celebration, Pastor Barrios warmly welcomed the ministers, pastors, brethren, and guests who gathered for the historic occasion.

The celebration marked a significant milestone for the Chicago church as it welcomed the district to the city for the first time in the history of the anniversary celebration.

The gathering continued with the Scripture reading led by Pastor David Medina, grounding the celebration in the Word of God and preparing the congregation for the message that would follow.

A video presentation highlighting the breakthroughs and victories experienced by God’s people was then shown. The presentation served as a visual testimony of the Lord’s continuing work in the ministry and His faithfulness in sustaining the Church through different seasons and circumstances.

As the program progressed, the congregation was prepared for the highlight of the celebration. Presbyter Marites Ferriol formally introduced Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, Chief Executive Minister, as the keynote speaker for the 37th District-wide Church Anniversary.

Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol Delivers “The Purpose of the Son of Man”

Anchored on Matthew 20:28, Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol delivered the keynote message entitled “The Purpose of the Son of Man.” The message emphasized that Jesus Christ came not only to save humanity but also to demonstrate the true purpose of serving.

Apostle Jonathan explained that Christ came to serve, making service an essential expression of true Christianity. He challenged the mindset of “consumer Christianity,” in which people primarily focus on what they can receive from God, and instead called believers to become servants who follow the example of Christ.

Citing John 12:26, “Whoever serves Me must follow Me,” Apostle Jonathan emphasized that following Jesus necessarily involves serving Him.

He also highlighted Matthew 20:25–26, which teaches that whoever desires to become great must first become a servant. According to the message, Jesus demonstrated true greatness not only because He is the Son of God but also because He willingly humbled Himself and became a servant.

Apostle Jonathan further discussed Christ’s humility through Philippians 2:6–7, explaining that becoming a servant requires humility, obscurity, and sacrifice. Through His incarnation, Jesus took on human form and ultimately gave Himself as a ransom for humanity’s sins, bringing freedom through the truth of salvation.

He emphasized that the Church was established by Christ to reflect His character and fulfill His purpose. Citing Ephesians 2:10, he explained that believers are Christ’s workmanship, created to do good works.

Therefore, the Church is called to be productive, with every gift, talent, and ability given by God intended to serve His divine purpose.

Holiness and Service Unto the Lord

The message also emphasized the inseparable relationship between holiness and service.

Apostle Arsenio Tan Ferriol’s reminder, “Those who are holy must serve, and those who serve must be holy,” was highlighted as a guiding principle for Christian service.

Apostle Jonathan explained that holiness is not simply a matter of outward appearance or personal preferences. Rather, it involves dedicating and investing one’s life in God and living in accordance with His purpose.

He also reminded the congregation that genuine leadership begins with servanthood. A person cannot truly become a leader without first learning how to serve.

Drawing from Revelation 22:12 and Matthew 24:45, Apostle Jonathan emphasized that Christ will return looking for faithful and wise servants and will reward them according to their works.

The message therefore called the brethren to continually revisit the purpose of Christ’s sacrifice and recognize their own purpose as servants in God’s Church. Believers are not called simply to receive the blessings of Christianity but to actively use their gifts, talents, and abilities in service to God and His people.

Serving Christ Through the Church

Apostle Jonathan outlined four important ways Christians are called to serve Christ.

First, believers are called to serve within the confines of His Church. Christianity has a collective dimension, requiring believers to serve both God and others. The Church provides an avenue through which Christians can fulfill their calling to serve and reach the world.

Second, Christians must serve under the power of the Holy Spirit. Citing 1 Peter 4:11 and Acts 1:8, Apostle Jonathan emphasized that believers cannot depend solely on their own strength when serving God. Instead, they must rely on the spiritual strength and power given through the Holy Spirit.

Third, Christian service must be disciplined by divine virtues and ethics. Drawing from Romans 14:17 and Romans 12:11, he emphasized that service must be expressed through righteousness, peace, joy, zeal, and devotion. Serving God requires energy, passion, discipline, and sincere commitment to His work.

Finally, Christians must be guided by the example of God’s sent ones. Citing 1 Corinthians 4:16 and 1 Corinthians 11:1, Apostle Jonathan encouraged the brethren to recognize and follow the examples of those whom God has placed in leadership, particularly as they follow the example of Christ.

Called to Serve, Ready for Greater Glory

The 37th District-wide Church Anniversary served as both a celebration of God’s faithfulness and a reminder of the continuing responsibility of the brethren to serve.

After 37 years of God’s grace, the PMCC (4th Watch) U.S. and Hispanosphere District continues to look ahead with faith and expectation. The anniversary celebration reminded the brethren that the blessings of the past are not merely reasons to look back but also encouragement to move forward in obedience and faithful service.

As the district enters another year of ministry, the call remains clear: stay rooted in Christ, remain faithful in service, pursue holiness, and use every God-given gift for His glory.

The celebration looked back on 37 years of God’s grace while directing the brethren toward the greater things He continues to prepare for His Church.

May every 4th Watcher be inspired to serve with greater faithfulness, holiness, humility, and devotion, remaining ready for the greater glory that God has in store for His Church.
