Imus, Cavite—The Day 2 of IMC 2024 brought a powerful combination of spiritual revival and holistic well-being, setting the tone for sustainable and effective ministry. With its focus on both spiritual and physical health, the event continued to inspire the ministers in attendance to strengthen their faith, prayer life, and overall wellness.
The day began with a profound message from Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, highlighting the importance of continual spiritual renewal. “We must be constantly filled up by God’s Spirit so we can serve others,” he emphasized. Apostle Jonathan encouraged ministers to adopt a more intentional approach to prayer, proposing the formation of small prayer groups. This initiative aimed at creating deeper spiritual connections and fostering unity within the body of Christ.
Presbyter Lily Ferriol supported this call to prayer, urging the attendees to cultivate a heart steadfast in prayer. She emphasized the power of consistent prayer, which has the ability to transform not only the minister’s life but the entire congregation. Her reflections paid tribute to the late Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, whose life of fervent prayer laid the foundation for the church’s success today.
In a lively addition to the morning devotion, the ministers participated in a Zumba session, symbolizing the fusion of spiritual growth with physical health. This engaging exercise reflected the core message of the day: a healthy body is essential to a thriving ministry.
Building on this theme, Apostle Jonathan Ferriol launched the Fit to Serve program, which introduced a juice bar for all ministers. The program underscored the importance of nourishing both the body and spirit, with nutritious refreshments provided to support the ministers in their demanding roles.
The morning seminars were led by Pastor Joy Ferriol-Guerrero and Evangelist Leticia Ferriol, who explored the theme of Creative Ministerial Leadership. Pastor Joy presented practical strategies for local church growth, while Evangelist Leticia highlighted the significance of maintaining Christ-like conduct in a minister’s personal and public life.
During a special Couch Talk session, Apostle Jonathan Ferriol shared his insights on building a sustainable ministry. He offered practical guidance on creating a ministry structure that endures, ensuring that the work of the church remains fruitful for future generations.
Apostle Jonathan also introduced the concept of the Discipleship Matrix, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to ministry that not only focuses on winning souls but also on nurturing new believers. His message reinforced the importance of guiding new converts to grow in their relationship with Christ, ensuring their spiritual journey is sustained and strengthened.
As the day unfolded, Evangelist Leticia Ferriol challenged ministers to uphold high ethical standards in their ministry, reminding them of their accountability to God: “Hahanapin ng Dios sa atin ang uri ng gawa based on these ethics,” she stated. Her message encouraged ministers to align their actions with the Lord’s expectations, maintaining integrity and excellence in all they do.
The day’s seminars culminated with Bishop Aldrin Palanca and Presbyter Elleza Palanca, who delivered sessions focused on the growth and support of Associate Pastors. Their teachings provided practical wisdom and activities that not only deepened the ministers’ understanding of their calling but also created a sense of camaraderie and mutual support.
As Day 2 came to a close, ministers left the conference not only spiritually revitalized but also physically refreshed. Armed with new strategies for growth, stronger prayer habits, and a renewed sense of purpose, they were empowered to continue their work for the Lord with vigor and vision.
