4th Watchers’ Month 2026 Opens with Global Celebration of Apostolic Identity
MARIKINA CITY, Philippines — August 2026 — The 4th Watchers’ Month 2026 Opening Ceremony officially launched this year’s month-long celebration as local churches of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) across the Philippines and around the world gathered simultaneously for worship, thanksgiving, and spiritual renewal.
In one spirit, districts and local churches held their respective Grand Worship services, marking the beginning of a celebration centered on the identity, calling, and Apostolic Mission of Fourth Watchers. Filled with thanksgiving and anticipation, brethren gathered to celebrate God’s grace and faithfulness to His Church throughout its 53-year journey.
The simultaneous worship services became a powerful expression of unity as Fourth Watchers from different nations and time zones joined together as one Church.
The display of blue balloons across houses of worship further symbolized the participation of local churches, reflecting the shared identity and unity of the 4th Watch Church.
While local churches conducted their own worship services featuring the special opening ceremony message of Chief Executive Minister Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, the main church, PMCC (4th Watch) Marikina City, brought together thousands of Fourth Watchers through a hybrid worship gathering.
The setup allowed members from different nations and time zones to participate in a shared moment of praise, consecration, and thanksgiving.
Throughout the global fellowship, Fourth Watchers expressed thanksgiving for what they recognize as God’s divine election of the PMCC (4th Watch), while renewing their commitment to fulfill the Church’s Apostolic Mission in the present generation.
4th Watchers’ Month 2026 Opens with Worship and Consecration
The 4th Watchers’ Month 2026 Opening Ceremony, led by the Marikina Main Church, began with vibrant praise and worship led by Elder Raych Bermudez Pastor, preparing the congregation for a meaningful time of worship, thanksgiving, and spiritual reflection.
Bishop Samuel S. Ferriol delivered the Message of Blessing, encouraging believers to remain steadfast in their Apostolic calling and to bring honor and glory to God through faithful service and holy living.
The highlight of the gathering was the Spirit-filled message delivered by Chief Executive Minister Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, entitled “The Apostolic Identity of the Church: Fortified, Enriched, and Celebrated.”
The message centered on the importance of understanding and preserving the Apostolic identity of the Church and living out that identity through faith, holiness, service, and commitment to God’s work.
Apostle Jonathan Calls Fourth Watchers to Cherish Their Apostolic Identity
Drawing from Matthew 11:27, Apostle Jonathan emphasized the importance of understanding one’s identity, explaining that a person cannot fully appreciate who they are without first understanding their identity.
Just as parents help their children recognize and understand who they are, God has likewise given His Church an identity that believers must never take for granted.
He reminded the congregation that despite the many influences that may attempt to distort or diminish their identity, believers can rejoice because they have been born of God. Citing John 1:13, he emphasized that those who are born of God belong to Him and are made whole through Him.
Apostle Jonathan further explained the meaning of being Apostolic, describing it as both the continuation of the teachings, doctrines, and practices handed down by the Apostles of Jesus Christ and the faithful following of Christ.
Citing John 8:31 and Hebrews 3:1, he reminded the brethren that those who follow Christ are called to remain faithful to His teachings.
He further emphasized through Romans 11:29, Ephesians 4:11–12, 1 Corinthians 11:23, 1 Corinthians 15:3, and Jude 3 that the teachings received from Christ and the Apostles must be faithfully preserved and passed on to succeeding generations.
Apostle Jonathan reminded the congregation that “we are the Church of God,” emphasizing that the true identity of believers is rooted in belonging to God. As His people and possession, believers are called to reflect His character through their lives.
Called to Holiness and Apostolic Values
Because believers belong to God, Apostle Jonathan stressed that they are called to live in holiness.
Referencing 1 Peter 1:16, he encouraged the brethren to reject carnality and pursue a life that reflects the holiness of God.
He explained that carnality can hinder believers from fulfilling their spiritual calling, making it essential for Fourth Watchers to guard their lives and remain grounded in the values of the Apostolic Church.
Apostle Jonathan also challenged the brethren to remain steadfast in their Apostolic values, describing these values as good and redeeming practices that should be evident in the lives of believers.
Through Philippians 4:9 and 2 Timothy 3:10, he emphasized the importance of putting into practice the teachings and examples received from the Church.
Remain Invested in the Church
Apostle Jonathan also encouraged believers to remain invested in the Church and its endeavors.
Drawing from 2 Corinthians 8:4 and 1 Corinthians 16:17, he highlighted the importance of actively contributing to the work of God through service, participation, and dedication.
He encouraged Fourth Watchers to find meaningful ways to participate in and celebrate activities that honor God, reminding them that involvement in the Church is part of living out their Apostolic identity.
Citing Acts 5:41 and James 1:2, he encouraged the brethren to remain joyful and steadfast even amid challenges.
The message ultimately challenged every Fourth Watcher to fortify, enrich, and celebrate the identity entrusted to them as members of the Apostolic Church—not merely as a title, but as a calling reflected in their faith, values, service, and daily lives.
4th Watchers’ Month 2026 Continues a Month of Faith and Apostolic Mission
The 4th Watchers’ Month 2026 is the PMCC (4th Watch)’s annual church-wide observance celebrating the identity, calling, and mission of its members as Fourth Watchers.
The celebration was established during preparations for the Church’s 50th year and continues to serve as a significant period for spiritual renewal, fellowship, and Apostolic commitment.
Throughout August, local churches across the Philippines and abroad will conduct various activities, including:
- Grand Worship services
- Prayer gatherings
- Evangelistic outreaches
- Discipleship programs
- Youth activities
- Community ministries
These activities provide opportunities for believers to strengthen their faith, deepen their commitment to the Apostolic Mission, and reach more people with the message of the Gospel.
Through these efforts, the Church continues to emphasize the importance of discipleship, evangelism, spiritual growth, and faithful service.
The month-long observance will culminate in a special closing service and thanksgiving celebration at the AATF Sports Complex at the end of August. Churches from Greater Metro Manila and nearby provinces are expected to participate, while the celebration will also be streamed for churches in the Visayas, Mindanao, and other parts of the world.
Church leaders expressed confidence that this year’s observance will further strengthen the unity of believers, deepen their Apostolic identity, and inspire greater commitment to advancing God’s work around the world.
Renewed Commitment to the Apostolic Identity
The 4th Watchers’ Month 2026 Opening Ceremony served not only as the beginning of a month-long celebration but also as a call for believers to renew their commitment to God and His work.
The global gathering reminded Fourth Watchers of the importance of remaining faithful to their calling, strengthening their spiritual lives, and living out the Apostolic identity entrusted to the Church.
As celebrations continue throughout August, Fourth Watch News will continue to share stories, ministry milestones, and faith-building events from the month-long observance.
The opening celebration has set the tone for a month dedicated to fortifying, enriching, and celebrating the Apostolic identity of Fourth Watchers around the world.
With renewed faith and commitment, the brethren move forward in unity, seeking to remain faithful to God’s calling and advancing the Apostolic Mission in the present generation.
To God be all the glory!
