DAVAO CITY, PHILIPPINES – Delegates from the Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN Districts gathered in unity and faith for the Southern Mindanao District Camp (SMDC) 2026, held from May 13–15, 2026, at the PMCC (4th Watch) Davao Mission Compound. Anchored on the theme “Maturity in Christ: The Goal of Every Believer” (Colossians 1:28), the three-day camp became a powerful season of spiritual renewal, biblical learning, and deeper commitment to God.

Brethren from various local churches across Southern Mindanao came together to pursue spiritual maturity through inspiring messages, seminars, worship services, ministry activities, and fellowship opportunities designed to strengthen their walk with Christ.

SMDC 2026 Welcomes Guest Speakers and Delegates

The camp preparations began on May 12 as the Davao brethren warmly welcomed esteemed guests Archbishop Arturo T. Ferriol, Presbyter Lily Ferriol, and Pastor Archie Ferriol. Delegates from participating local churches also arrived at the Davao Mission Compound, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement for the days ahead.

Opening Night Sets the Tone for Spiritual Renewal

SMDC 2026 officially commenced with a vibrant worship service led by the Agdao Praise and Worship Team. The opening night created an atmosphere of praise, unity, and expectation as delegates gathered to seek God’s presence.

The highlight of the evening was the preaching of God’s Word by Archbishop Arturo T. Ferriol, who encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in serving God while awaiting the glorious return of Jesus Christ.

“Maturity is not sinless perfection it is the ability to rise and live according to the divine standards that have been set,” Archbishop Arturo emphasized.

Day 2 Focuses on Prayer, Doctrine, and Ministry

The second day began with Morning Devotion led by Pastor Eddie Serrano, Head Minister of the Davao Local Church. He underscored the importance of prayer in the life of every believer.

“Prayer is not only asking for blessings from heaven; it is developing a living relationship with God,” Pastor Eddie shared.

Seminar Deepens Understanding of God’s Word

Following breakfast, delegates gathered for a doctrinal seminar led by Archbishop Arturo Ferriol. The session equipped attendees with a deeper understanding of biblical teachings and strengthened their spiritual foundation.

Morning Worship Highlights the Power of the Holy Spirit

The Gensan Selah Praise and Worship Team led the congregation into heartfelt worship before Presbyter Lily Ferriol delivered a timely message on the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church.

“The power of the Church comes from the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit,” Presbyter Lily reminded the congregation.

Departmental Activities Encourage Spiritual Growth

During the afternoon, delegates participated in departmentalized sessions tailored to different age groups and ministries.

The Elders and Adult Department gathered at the Worship Hall, where Presbyter Lily Ferriol and Archbishop Arturo Ferriol ministered to the attendees. Meanwhile, the Youth Department assembled at the Goodman of the House Event Center (GOTHEC), where Pastor Archie Ferriol challenged young believers to deepen their commitment to Christ and His mission.

Ministries Night Celebrates Service and Dedication

The evening concluded with Ministries Night, a special gathering dedicated to honoring the various ministries serving across the Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN Districts.

A Couch Talk hosted by Sister Norel Alcano featured inspiring testimonies and reflections from ministry workers. Pastor Archie Ferriol delivered the evening message, emphasizing the value of selfless service in the Kingdom of God.

“Everything you do in the Church that is not for yourself becomes your ministry—a selfless offering of love, service, and devotion to God,” Pastor Archie declared.

Final Day Encourages Faithfulness and Perseverance

The final day opened with Morning Devotion led by Presbyter Jun Partisala, who encouraged the brethren to find strength and renewal through prayer.

“Whenever your body grows weary, let prayer become the place where your soul finds rest, strength, and renewal,” he said.

Seminar and Worship Prepare Delegates for the Future

Following breakfast, delegates returned to the worship hall for another enriching seminar led by Presbyter Lily Ferriol. The session reinforced biblical truths and encouraged believers to continue growing in spiritual maturity.

The concluding Morning Worship Service featured powerful praise and worship led by Echoes of Faith, followed by the final message from Archbishop Arturo Ferriol.

“When you speak the name of the Lord, let your life and conduct reflect His holiness,” he urged.

Youth and Adults Receive Final Words of Encouragement

Afternoon departmental activities provided one final opportunity for fellowship, learning, and spiritual empowerment.

Archbishop Arturo ministered to the Elders and Adult Department, while Pastor Archie Ferriol delivered a special message to the youth, inspiring them to remain faithful and purposeful in their Christian journey.

Dedication Night Concludes SMDC 2026

The camp culminated with a memorable Dedication Night filled with worship, testimonies, spoken poetry, and the Faggot Service. The Davao Joyful Chorus and The Voice of Tehillah Choir ministered through music as delegates reflected on the spiritual blessings they received throughout the camp.

Archbishop Arturo Ferriol delivered the final message, challengingvery delegate to remain committed to pursuing maturity in Christ and fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives.

As SMDC 2026 concluded, delegates from both the Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN Districts departed with renewed faith, strengthened convictions, and a deeper commitment to continue growing in Christ.

The camp served as a powerful reminder that spiritual maturity remains the goal of every believer and that through God’s grace, His people can continue advancing in faith, service, and devotion until the return of Jesus Christ.
