Apostle Arsenio Tan Ferriol’s life of unwavering faith and profound devotion was commemorated with a solemn and grand interment ceremony on June 18, 2024. The beloved Goodman of the House, who passed away on May 19, 2024, at 1:30 pm, left behind a legacy that was celebrated with a heartfelt tribute organized by the Church under the leadership of Chief Executive Minister Bishop Jonathan Ferriol. This tribute was live-streamed for brethren around the world, reflecting the Apostle’s far-reaching impact.

In the early hours of the morning, as dawn approached, the faithful began to assemble at the AATF Sports Complex. By 1:00 am, a sea of believers gathered outside the complex, each reflecting on the immense influence Apostle Ferriol had on their lives. The formal program commenced at 6:30 am, opening with a deeply moving video of Apostle Ferriol singing “Footprints in the Sand,” a song that resonated with his life’s journey of faith and dedication. Accompanied by the harmonious tones of the Highest Praise Chorale and Symphony Orchestra, the performance set a poignant tone for the day.

Eulogies followed, each one a heartfelt tribute to the Apostle’s multifaceted life. Sis. Ciara Ferriol, speaking on behalf of the grandchildren, reflected on his gentle guidance and unwavering love. Presbyter Levi Ferriol, representing the Apostle’s children, spoke of his father’s steadfast faith and enduring commitment to the family. Bishop Osie Quillao, on behalf of the ministers, shared insights into the Apostle’s spiritual leadership and mentorship.

Archbishop Art Ferriol delivered a touching remembrance on behalf of the Apostle’s brothers, while Bishop Jonathan Ferriol, the Chief Executive Minister, provided a comprehensive reflection on his father’s impact on the Church and its leadership. Each testimony painted a vivid picture of a man whose life was a testament to sacrifice, service, and unwavering devotion.

Music, a significant part of the Apostle’s life, played a vital role in the ceremony. His eldest son, Bro. Dennis Ferriol, along with the Highest Praise Chorale, Bro. Kenneth Ines, and Sis. Donna Gonzales, delivered stirring musical performances. These tributes not only honored Apostle Ferriol’s love for music but also uplifted the spirits of those in attendance, celebrating his life through the art he cherished.

A deeply moving moment came when the Philippine Navy honor guards performed a 21-gun salute, the highest act of honor and respect, and played “Taps” during the funeral. This gesture underscored the profound esteem in which Apostle Ferriol was held, honoring his service and dedication.

The 30-day period leading up to the interment included 14 days of mourning, 14 days of celebration, and a three-day tribute camp. This structured period allowed the congregation to process their grief and celebrate the Apostle’s extraordinary contributions.

Today’s ceremony, executed with world-class precision and heartfelt respect, encapsulated the Apostle’s legacy. It was not just a farewell, but a celebration of a life lived in profound dedication to God and community. As the program ended, the congregation left the Sports Complex with heavy hearts but uplifted spirits, carrying forward the teachings and memories of Apostle Arsenio Tan Ferriol. His remains were laid to rest at the AATF Mausoleum, a testament to his enduring presence within the church he so deeply touched.
